a home address.

Motown, jazz, techno. Three sounds, one city, a whole lot of stories. Get into the groove, then find your kind of night.

Hitsville U.S.A.

Berry Gordy set out to build his own record label in 1959. The little house on West Grand Boulevard became one of the best-known addresses in the Motown story.

Before you plan: guided Hitsville tours are paused during expansion, with reopening planned for spring 2027. Check the museum’s other programs and latest updates separately.
