A beloved Woodward dining room turned private-event venue for up to 120 guests, with the same chef, kitchen and cocktail team.

01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
For twelve years Wright & Company was one of downtown's favorite restaurants, upstairs in a building that opened in 1891 as the Schwankovsky Temple of Music, designed by Gordon W. Lloyd, and later home to the Wright-Kay jewelry firm from 1920 to 1978. The last public dinner service was July 3, 2026; the room is now booked for private events only. Chef and partner Marc Djozlija, a 2015 James Beard nominee, still runs the kitchen, the Detroit Optimist Society team runs the bar, and the space handles up to 120 guests.
- Private events for up to 120, full or partial buyouts
- Kitchen led by a James Beard-nominated chef
- Cocktails from the Detroit Optimist Society team
- Chandelier, exposed brick, bay windows over Woodward
