From 1975 to 1985, Womanspace was a volunteer-run lesbian feminist collective space, up a flight of stairs at 211 1/2 N. Fourth Ave in Ann Arbor. It published The Leaping Lesbian magazine and housed a small bookstore, an art gallery and the Women's Crisis Center. Today it is one of the stops on the Ann Arbor District Library's LGBTQ+ walking tour.
