WDIV-TV, better known as Local 4, is Detroit's NBC affiliate and the flagship of Graham Media Group. Regular broadcasts began on March 4, 1947, under the WWJ-TV call letters; the station became WDIV in 1978, short for 'Detroit's IV.' Its West Lafayette Boulevard studios make it the only major station in the market with offices and studios inside Detroit city limits, and its news runs on ClickOnDetroit.
