01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Warby Parker opened its Detroit store on November 26, 2016, at the corner of Woodward and Clifford. The address has real Detroit history: this was the site of the original Vernor's pharmacy, where James Vernor perfected his ginger ale, and the shop still pours Vernor's Ginger Soda as a tip of the hat. Look up above the Reference Desk for original artwork by Detroit artist David Rubello. You can try on the full lineup of frames and sunglasses, buy contacts, and book an eye exam right in the store.
