Vivio's

Eastern Market's Bloody Mary institution, family run since 1967 inside an 1892 hall that has poured drinks since the day it opened.

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Vivio's has been a family business since 1967, when John and Shirley Vivio opened in Eastern Market's Meyfarth's Hall. The building went up in 1892 for the neighborhood's German community, with a bar downstairs, a social hall upstairs and the Meyfarth family living on the third floor. The north half of the ground floor has been a bar ever since, making it one of the oldest continuously operating bar rooms in the city. These days it's best known for its Bloody Marys, and the house mix is sold by the bottle.
