Vintage Detroit Collection comes from brothers Steve and David Thomas, who got their start as kid peanut hawkers outside Tiger Stadium at Cochrane and Kaline Drive. They went on to open The Designated Hatter just west of the ballpark on Michigan Avenue, which they describe as a Detroit institution. Today they sell officially licensed Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons and Lions merchandise from the Spinnaker Center in Plymouth and online, and they'll letter a jersey with your name and number, usually shipping it in one to two business days.
