Make time for these
The building went up in the 1890s as a livery stable near the Three Oaks train station, and in 1911 Frank Lee and his partners turned it into the Fairyland Theatre. Generations of the Lee family ran it for decades, long as the Lee and later as the Oak Theatre, until the late 1970s. After that it changed hands several times and eventually closed. Jon and Jennifer Vickers bought it in 1994, restored it and reopened it in June 1996 as the Vickers Theatre. Today it's a small independent art house with one screen and 126 seats that also hosts live music, theatre and readings.
