Uplift opened in fall 2024 in the basement-level space below The Circ on South First Street in Ann Arbor. It has been the city's only dedicated LGBTQ+ bar since Aut Bar closed in 2020. On weeknights it's a relaxed neighborhood bar, and on weekends it turns into a club with DJs. Programming mixes karaoke, drag shows, trans-focused happy hours and ticketed Sunday drag brunches.
