01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

The first field was built for the 1993 fall season, and the renovated Titan Field debuted in October 2007 with A-Turf and a six-lane polyurethane track. On April 11, 2009, it hosted what Detroit Mercy believes was the first men's college lacrosse game ever played in the Motor City. In 2019, for the first time in nearly 55 years, Detroit Mercy's outdoor teams played home games under lights, thanks to a $600,000 lighting project paid for by nearly 30 donors. The lacrosse attendance record is 887, set on March 26, 2016, when No. 20 Air Force came to town.
