What’s it like to stay here?
The Vanguard opened in spring 2025 on Glen Avenue near Catherine Street as part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, developed by Robert Finvarb Companies and Milford Singer & Co. Of its 188 rooms, 24 are one-bedroom suites of 600–900 sq ft, some with private patios. Every room has an espresso machine, Le Labo toiletries and a Dyson hair dryer, and La Serre, a French-style brasserie with a raw bar, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It works well for hospital visits, university business or a wedding weekend: five event rooms, including the Victors Ballroom, cover about 11,000 sq ft, and Kerrytown and the Diag are within walking distance.
