The Detroit Shoppe
Detroit-pride gift shop in the Metropolitan Building where every dollar of proceeds goes to local charities.
01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
The Detroit Shoppe started in 2010 as a 12-week holiday pop-up at Somerset Collection, and the response was strong enough that it went permanent in March 2011, adding a downtown store. That shop lives in the historic Metropolitan Building, home of the Element Detroit Hotel. Shelves mix licensed team gear, local brands and collaborations with the Motown Museum, DIA, Detroit Historical Museum, Pewabic Pottery, the Wright Museum and The Henry Ford. The twist: 100% of proceeds go to charity, more than 400 organizations so far.
- 100% of proceeds donated to charity
- Over 400 Detroit-area organizations supported
- Partner goods from Motown Museum, DIA, Pewabic and more
- Ready-made and custom Detroit gift baskets
