The Beauté Loft was started by a Detroit native and runs its Lab Lounge on Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe. The idea is that you make things instead of watching someone else do it: smell the raw ingredients, pick your scent and color, then blend your own fragrance, body butter, soap or bath fizz. Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes and you leave with what you made. It also does private parties and corporate team building, plus virtual workshops with kits shipped to your door.
