A downtown gallery where art meets activism, with free shows on peace, justice and social change.

01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
The gallery fills a storefront in the Central United Methodist Church building, right by Grand Circus Park. It shows socially engaged work by local and regional artists; past shows include Artists Against Apartheid, Women's Liberation and We Been Here. Every year Visions of Peace hangs work by Detroit K–12 students, built around the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. There's a monthly Political Artist Meetup, and each February they host Red Books Day with Nox Library. The little shop sells books, cards and original art.
