The theater opened in 1908 as the Bijou, was remodeled in 1930 in Mayan Revival style and has been the State since 1957. After a 2024 bankruptcy sale it reopened in October 2024 under DICE Entertainment (Jordan Dice). Films share the bill with tribute concerts, dueling pianos, cabaret and comedy, such as a Rod Stewart tribute and a Sinatra holiday show in late 2026.
