Spot Lite opened in 2021 in a 7,900-square-foot former lumber yard at 2905 Beaufait St, founded by Roula David and Jesse Cory of the art publisher 1xRun with support from Motor City Match. It combined a bar, art gallery, record store, coffee shop (Cairo Coffee), coworking space and dance floor, and became a go-to spot for DJs and live electronic music on the east side. The owners announced in June 2026 that they were leaving nightlife, and Spot Lite's last day was June 28, 2026.
