Southern Smokehouse is a family-owned spot on West McNichols, two blocks east of Hubbell on Detroit's northwest side. A certified chef runs the kitchen, and the house specialty is ribs rubbed with their signature seasoning and smoked over hickory. Round it out with beef short ribs with sautéed onions and peppers or smoked brisket. They cater events and take online orders for pickup.
