Make time for these
SMART is Southeast Michigan's regional bus system, linking Detroit with its suburbs in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties since 1967. It runs 47 routes with more than 5,300 stops, plus Connector curb-to-curb vans, ADA paratransit and on-demand microtransit. A full fare is $2, and since May 4, 2026, K-12 and college students ride free with a valid student ID. The regional Dart pass also works on Detroit's DDOT buses.
