SCL opened in 2017 at 401 S. Lafayette in Royal Oak as an upscale 'boutique nightlife' club with DJs and bottle service. In early spring 2022 it was rebranded as Stairway Royal Oak, offering DJ music, live entertainment and craft cocktails on Friday and Saturday nights. It has since closed; the year of closure is not known.
