The A. Paul and Carol C. Schaap Center for the Performing Arts is a theatre and a gallery in one, sharing its building with the Richard and Jane Manoogian Art Gallery. The 424-seat, two-level house has a fly loft, an elevating orchestra pit and an LED projection wall, and there's the smaller Purdon Studio as well. Grosse Pointe Theatre has called it home since 2025, and the Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Metropolitan Dance, choirs and concerts all play here too. Grosse Pointe Theatre stages Les Misérables from September 25 to October 11, 2026, and the Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra performs on October 25.

Parking

Limited onsite parking: Lot A next to the valet (41 spaces, 3 accessible) and Lot B at the Grosse Pointe Park municipal complex (enter from Jefferson or Maryland Ave.). Street parking on Jefferson and Lakepointe. Don't use the Library Parking Only spaces while the library is open.
