Make time for these
Riverbank Theatre lives in the historic Marine Savings Bank building, with the bank vaults and early-1900s architecture still intact and 180 seats in tiers and boxes. It's run by the nonprofit Thumbcoast Live Theaters, founded by Kathy Vertin, who bought a Marine City storefront in 2012 (the 98-seat Snug Theatre, now home to the Riverbank Performing Arts Academy) and added the bank building in 2014. The group became a 501(c)(3) three years later and has since added the larger Boardwalk Theatre upriver in St. Clair. All three venues sit along the St. Clair River. Phil Olson's Love...Or Best Offer runs November 6-22, 2026.
