03 / The story of this place
What’s it like to stay here?
The round tower at Telegraph Road and I-696 was a Holiday Inn for a long time. After it stood empty for years, New Zealand's Kiwi Hospitality bought it and in 2015 announced an $8–10 million renovation that kept the round tower. AAA now lists it as a 16-story, 260-room hotel with meeting space, a restaurant, a lounge and a fitness room, rated Three Diamond. Some upper floors look toward downtown Detroit; pets aren't accepted.
