Qahwah House West Dearborn

A Yemeni coffeehouse on West Dearborn's Michigan Avenue, pouring beans from the family's own farms in Yemen.

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Qahwah House brews Yemeni coffee from the family's Al Hasbani Farms, where they've grown Arabica for eight generations. The beans are roasted in small batches here in the States. Try the finely ground Sana'ani blend with cardamom; add cream and it becomes mofawar. Qishr is a caffeine-free drink brewed from coffee husks that tastes closer to tea. This is the West Dearborn café on Michigan Avenue; the East Dearborn spot is at 6655 Schaefer Road.
