Make time for these
Q was a large gay dance club on Nine Mile Road, a few doors from SOHO and run by SOHO's owner. It opened around 2001 and was one of the anchors of Ferndale's gay nightlife in the early 2000s. After Detroit's Backstreet reopened, Q lost business, and in June 2006 it switched to a straight format as The Monkey Bar. The space later briefly returned as Club 9.
