The Meyer and Anna Prentis Building and its adjoining auditorium, long known as the DeRoy Auditorium, sit side by side on Cass Avenue on Wayne State University's Midtown campus. Detroit-based architect Minoru Yamasaki designed the two buildings to work together functionally and visually, part of a cluster of Wayne State buildings he created through the 1950s and 1960s that also includes the McGregor Memorial Conference Center. Ground broke on the complex in August 1962, and it opened in January 1964 as the new home of the university's business school. The auditorium was renamed University Auditorium in 2025. Both buildings remain in active academic use on campus.
