01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Planterra started in 1973 in a Bloomfield Hills greenhouse on the former estate of the Sanders chocolate family, and it went on to supply tropical plants for the Renaissance Center, Somerset Collection and the Shinola Hotel. In 2010 it opened its own glass conservatory in West Bloomfield, with koi ponds, vertical gardens and an atrium imported from Belgium. Bookings include planning, design, florals, food and drink, rentals and valet.
