The Pinckney Players perform at the Jane Tasch Performing Arts Center, a 900-seat hall with 600 seats on the main floor and 300 in the balcony. It was built in 1980 with school bond money. The hall is named for Jane Tasch, a Pinckney educator for 30 years who pushed to start community theatre here. The first community play on its stage, in December 1981, was her own So Melts the Ice, about the early-1900s ice harvest. At the end of every show, the cast leaves a single flower on the empty stage in her memory. The 2026-27 season opens October 3 with 42nd Street.
