Restaurants & cafés / Greektown

Pegasus Taverna Greektown

A Greektown staple on Monroe Street: flaming saganaki, generous Greek platters and a 2 AM close on weekends.

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Pegasus Taverna is a true Greektown fixture, here since before the casinos, back when Trappers Alley was the big draw. The family-owned taverna has a huge open kitchen, generous portions and servers who bring the energy. The signature move is flaming saganaki, lit tableside to shouts of "Opa!" A deli counter sells Greek cheeses, sweets and pastries to take home. On Fridays and Saturdays it stays open until 2 AM.
