Make time for these
Oakland County Parks and Recreation runs the county's parks and trails north of Detroit from its headquarters in Waterford. That includes county golf courses, campgrounds, nature programs and the Oakland County Farmers Market, open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7 am to 1:30 pm. In fall you'll find a festival, adaptive cycling sessions and nature programs. The website's park locator shows what each park offers, and you can reserve sites, programs and rentals online.
