Oakland Baseball Field

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Oakland University baseball plays its home games here; the program dates to 1970, competes in the Horizon League, and calls the park "The Den." The field has been upgraded piece by piece in recent years: the dugouts were fully renovated and extended, the infield got turf, and the outfield fence was replaced. Electrical and internet infrastructure was beefed up so broadcasts and media have a solid connection. For fans there's a concrete concourse that starts at the home dugout on the first base side and runs the length of the left field line, plus a retaining wall along the spectator hill.
