01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Volunteers founded the group in 1998 to preserve and share Northwest Ohio's railroad history. You ride quarter-scale trains around the grounds, Lionel, HO and N scale layouts run indoors, and outside there's a caboose, a boxcar, a small diesel switcher and a relocated depot. Little steam engine No. 901 was built by the Israelite House of David in Benton Harbor, Michigan, before World War II; it came to Findlay in 2000 and has run here since 2001. Fall brings pumpkin and Halloween trains, and from late November the North Pole Express rolls through a winter wonderland of decorated trees.
