What's it like to sing here?

The Detroit Optimist Society crew behind Sugar House and Grandma Bob's opened Mutiny in 2017 and poured scorpion bowls at dive-bar prices. Thursday was karaoke night, hosted by Shantasy Island with a 28,000-song catalog. In 2018 it won Metro Times' Best Karaoke Bar as both the staff pick and the readers' choice. The owners said business no longer let them keep going, and the last day was March 1, 2026.
