01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
It grew out of the free Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF, first held in 2000) and has been produced by Paxahau under the Movement name since 2006. Several stages mix Detroit techno and house pioneers (Kevin Saunderson and Richie Hawtin in 2026) with international headliners, with 115+ artists in 2026. Official after-parties run all weekend at clubs around the city.
