The SDC is the heart of Michigan Tech sports: one roof covers the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena, the basketball gym, a 200-meter indoor track, a climbing wall, lap and diving pools, archery and rifle ranges, and racquetball courts. The building also houses the UP Health System Portage University Center, with a pharmacy, rehab and X-ray. Students use it free through the Experience Tech fee. Everyone else comes in on a day pass, a 12-punch pass or a membership.
