Michigan Fern Fest
A week-long camping music festival for women, nonbinary and trans people, held since 2024 at the Smiling Acres grounds near Trufant around the turn of July and August.

Make time for these
Michigan Fern Fest was created in 2022 and carries on the tradition of Michigan's women's music festivals. The program includes concerts by singer-songwriters and bands (2025: Be Steadwell, Crys Matthews, Grace Rowland), DJ dances, workshops, yoga, craft vendors and ASL interpretation. In 2025 a full week was $430 and a weekend $270, with youth discounts and rustic camping included.
