Make time for these
Opened in 1913, Michigan Central Station served as a major rail gateway before decades of vacancy. Ford’s restoration brought a new chapter, and the renewed station reopened to the public in 2024. The waiting room’s scale and stone surfaces recall the ambition of early rail travel. Its current role centers on innovation and public activity; it is not an operating passenger terminal for scheduled trains.
