What’s it like to stay here?
Bonnah & Chaffee built this eight-story, white terra-cotta office building in 1922, replacing the home of a German-language newspaper. Method Development bought it in 2022 and is turning it into a hotel of about 135 rooms, with food and drink space, event space and a rooftop bar, designed by Kraemer Design Group. The Detroit Historic District Commission signed off in May 2023, and construction is under way. Grand Circus Park and the Fox Theatre district are steps away.
