Kerr Russell is one of Detroit's oldest law firms, tracing its roots to 1874, when young attorney James T. Keena started practicing in the city; two years later he and Luther S. Trowbridge founded Trowbridge & Keena. By the firm's own account, it helped acquire the land that became Henry Ford's Rouge Plant. Today its attorneys work from 500 Woodward Avenue downtown and an office in Troy, serving clients from startups to multinationals.
