Inside Detroit was founded in 2006 by Jeanette Pierce as a place where people arriving downtown could ask questions, grab a map, and join an orientation walk or even a Segway tour. The organization ran under that name until around 2015, when it became Detroit Experience Factory. There's no live website or contact info for it under the Inside Detroit name today; its work carries on through Detroit Experience Factory.
