House of Dank Gratiot opened on December 19, 2025, at 11999 Gratiot Avenue on Detroit's east side, becoming the cannabis retail chain's first-ever franchise location run by outside partners rather than the company itself. Detroit rap artists Icewear Vezzo and Peezy became those first franchise partners, opening the store together in the same east-side neighborhood where both of them grew up, framing it as real community ownership rather than a celebrity endorsement deal. Both rappers built their national profiles out of Detroit's street-rap scene through the 2010s and 2020s before turning to this kind of local business investment. The store held a public grand-opening celebration in March 2026 to mark the milestone. It continues to operate today as a working dispensary.
