Make time for these
Hotter Than July is Detroit's Black LGBTQ+ Pride, organized by LGBT Detroit since 1996 and one of the longest-running Black Pride celebrations in the United States. The late-July week opens with a candlelight vigil and includes an annual gathering with a candidate forum, an art and film festival, a worship service and nightlife parties. A highlight is the picnic in Palmer Park with a drag and performance stage. The 31st edition was held July 23–26, 2026.
