What’s it like to stay here?
The hostel runs as a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit in a building on Vermont Street in North Corktown. Volunteers fixed the place up, the first guests arrived on April 17, 2011, and in 2016 the hostel bought the building. Beds start at $35 a night, you cook in shared self-service kitchens, and bikes rent for $20 a day. The staff will help you dig into the city's art, history and neighborhoods, and Michigan Central and the Corktown bars are nearby. Group lodging is available too.

Getting there
Check-in runs 3 pm to 11 pm with a door code, check-out is 11 am, and the office is open 11 am to 11 pm. It's card payment only, and street parking is free.
