What’s it like to stay here?
The heart of the inn is the Chateau LaFramboise, the house fur trader Magdelaine La Framboise built on Mackinac Island after retiring in 1820. It became the Harbour View Inn in 1995, and the neighboring Lachance Cottage, built in the late 1880s by a lighthouse keeper, joined it in 2006. Jon and Lauren Cotton bought the inn in 2024 and renovated every room and public space for the 2026 season, adding it to their Cotton Collection with Hotel Iroquois and Hotel Perry. Continental breakfast is included, and Pedals Harbour Grill fires up on the street side in season.

Getting there
It's seasonal, with the main season running from mid-May to early October. There are no cars on the island, but hotel porters meet the ferries; prepay two or more nights on select 2026 dates and you save 15%.
