Grosse Ile Pilot House is at 9645 Groh Road, in the former Curtiss-Wright flight-school barracks and officers' club. The Navy used the buildings from 1933 until the base closed in 1969. There are about 14 rooms, standard and premium, some with kitchenettes and jetted tubs. The historic ballroom is open for events.
