01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Great Lakes Crossing Outlets opened in Auburn Hills in 1998 and is now the largest outlet mall in Michigan, with roughly 185 stores. Anchors include Burlington, Primark, Bass Pro Shops, TJ Maxx, Dick's Sporting Goods and Marshalls. It doubles as a rainy-day destination for families, with LEGOLAND Discovery Center, the Sea Life Michigan aquarium, a 25-screen AMC Star theater, Round1 bowling and arcade, and a 1,000-seat food court. Simon Property Group took over operations in November 2025.
