The Grand Marais Chamber of Commerce organizes it, and 2025 was the 43rd annual edition. It runs Thursday to Saturday in early August with live bands of any genre and a craft and vendor fair. Thursday was free in 2025, and day, weekend and family passes plus festival camping are sold.
