The Grand Ledge Sun Theatre opened in downtown Grand Ledge in 1935, according to Cinema Treasures. The town's movie history goes back to Sackett's Opera House and the silent-era Vaudette, where a pianist played along with the films live. The Sun shows new releases that open on Fridays, every ticket is $8, and the house is available for rentals. It's raising money for a renovation campaign called Shine Bright. It's open Wednesday to Sunday with 7 p.m. evening shows and 3 p.m. weekend matinees, and Treasure Trekkers plays October 9-22, 2026.

The theatre is at 316 S Bridge St. in downtown Grand Ledge. It's closed Monday and Tuesday, with shows at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekends; tickets are always $8, and cards are accepted.
