Stratton & Baldwin designed this mansion in 1902 for Frederick K. Stearns, the pharmaceutical heir and arts patron who helped found the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and gave more than 900 musical instruments to the University of Michigan. Inside you'll find a Pewabic-tile fireplace, stained glass, 10 fireplaces in all, a ballroom and a speakeasy pub; the house was restored from 2018 and opened as an inn in 2022. There are nine king rooms, some with jetted tubs. Hot breakfast and parking are included, weddings of up to 120 guests can be held here, and Belle Isle and the RiverWalk are minutes away.
