Make time for these
If you're hunting for gifts in Detroit, Cadillac Square is the move: every winter the Downtown Detroit Markets bring a crew of local small businesses to the heart of downtown. The 2026 season runs November 11 through January 3, 2027, with everything from books and yarn to olive oil and waffles. Right next door, the Cadillac Lodge is a heated tent with fireplaces, board games, plush seating, cozy blankets and food and drinks. The Gilbert Family Foundation funds the markets, the Downtown Detroit Partnership runs them, and The Rink at Campus Martius and the city's Christmas tree are a snowball's throw away.
