What’s it like to stay here?
Port Huron's full-service riverfront hotel sits at the foot of the Blue Water Bridge, right where Lake Huron empties into the St. Clair River. It was the Thomas Edison Inn until a 12-month renovation turned it into a DoubleTree, which opened on August 21, 2013, with 149 rooms, many with balconies facing the river and the bridge. Freighters Eatery & Taproom serves all-day American food by the water, so you can watch the Great Lakes freighters slide past over dinner. There's a heated pool, a gym and 9,800 sq ft of meeting space.
